hola! i’m bea

i am a certified and experienced pilates and yoga (RYT 200) teacher based in miami, florida. i’m originally from colombia and lived in south africa for a part of my childhood, before moving to miami.

when i was in university, i injured my knee doing intense kickboxing classes, so a good friend recommended pilates to me. i began experimenting with different kinds of pilates classes, from classical to modern, and fell in love with modern pilates. the method changed my body, rehabilitated my knee, and it made me feel stronger physically and mentally. i became extremely consistent with my practice, and began teaching at various JetSet Miami studios in 2018. i think of it as my first teaching love.

after experiencing a loss, i found comfort and safety in the routine of my pilates practice, but my love story with yoga blossomed. my practice became my cathartic release. it took me through my lowest lows onto my highest highs. i really began to understand and appreciate my relationship with spiritual and physical practice, and it allowed me to become a better version of myself.

this feeling of breakthrough and being more in tune with myself, led to a career change. after a decade of working in advertising and marketing, i knew my life’s purpose was to help other people feel as good as my practice made me feel, so i began teaching pilates and yoga full time.

as a dedicated practitioner and teacher, i see movement as a vehicle for release and uplift. i strive to empower people to access their emotional and physical strength in order to raise their own vibration. the power of the senses, particularly sound, can raise the frequency of our vibration. music has allowed me to express emotion when I have been at a loss for words, and it has encouraged me to deeply listen to what is going on within.

so i, too, encourage you to tune in, and move from within. thank you for being here.
